Item 3 - Storebro Royal Cruiser ( Baltic 34 ) Owned by a chap who never knows when to stop it’s probably the best example you will find. Asking £39,950.
For brokerage call Mike de Graaf - 01646 603888 - email mike@boatshedwales.com Full brokerage details at www.boatshedwales.com LOA 34ft - Beam - 10½ft - Draft 3¼ft (all aprox) 4 berths in 3 cabins. Carpets, fridge, cabin heating, hot & cold pressurised water system, microwave cooker, (owner is a Corgi Marine gas fitter and will not have a gas cooker on HIS boat!) A very popular wooden hulled boat, this one is in particularly good order.
Having had the known weak transom removed and refitted with additional strengthening, it’s only for sale as the owners wife wants a boat like mine! Therefore owner not in any great hurry to sell. Very well worth a look as these late model wooden hulls are considered to have the advantage over early GRP hulls. Built 1969, she is a carvel semi-displacement hull (one of the last wooden hulls) with twin freshwater cooled Volvo-Penta MD32A diesels of about 106hp each. The known weakness in these engines is the exhaust manifold which suffers corrosion. This has been overcome by having fitted bespoke stainless steel manifolds. With new teak decks and an owner who never lets a ‘professional’ do what he can do better, this boat is ready to go for the season. Ample warps and fenders are included as are anchors, electric windlass, davits, dodgers, cockpit cover, life buoys, horn, boarding ladder, FIVE bilge pumps, four of which are electric, navigation lights, GPS, VHF DSC radio, compass, log, depth sounder and clock. She has shore power and charger for her three batteries, which power the normal 12 volt systems. Normal cruising speed is about 8 knots and probably just over 12 knots at full power. With about 80+ gallons of fuel and at an economical cruising speed of around 8 knots, she would probably burn around three gallons per hour giving a cruising range of about 20 hours (160 miles) with a 25% reserve.
